About The Hayes Movement

The Hayes Movement was created because movement is important to maintain and improve quality of life. We are focused on the benefits of regular exercise for our changing bodies as we move through different stages of life. We want our workouts to fit your lifestyle, whether you are running short on time to exercise or having trouble getting motivated.

At The Hayes Movement we tried to make it easy and fun to workout by offering you a total body workout that you design with 7 1/2 minute zone pack workout options. The zone packs are designed to be practical and sustainable with a mix of basic and challenging workouts that will hopefully give you a sense of accomplishment. The zone packs are also designed to be workouts you can continue for years to come.

You select which zone packs you would like to do and build your playlist. You can workout as little as 1 zone pack for 7 1/2 minutes. This is a great alternative to skipping your workout. You can work at your own pace and keep track of your progress. You can also participate in competitions with other members and friends. The Hayes Movement also has a regular Blog and lists of books, websites, apps and products that may be of interest for your mind, body and soul. We would love to hear from you!

About Wannetta

I was born Wannetta Hayes on the Northcoast of Ohio in Cleveland. Ohio is where all my movement began and I still love to move.

It all started for me when my mother enrolled me in tap dance classes at the age of 5. My mother loved to dance and roller skate. At the time we lived in a small town called Elyria. My mother could really see I loved to move and I continued with dance but added roller skating. A few years later I had the opportunity to join a baton twirling group called “The Linda’s Lassies”, where I traveled all over the Midwest performing in parades and various venues twirling the baton. We moved back to the Cleveland area when I was 12, where I continued my love of movement through dance and roller skating.

Fast forward after graduating from Shaker Heights High School and Cleveland State University, I discovered my love for fitness while taking an aerobic class. This was the beginning of a combined love of dance and fitness. I have many years of training, teaching, choreography and performance with fitness and dance. Over the course of many years I became a group fitness instructor for “Fitness World”. I was a personal trainer for “Bally Total Fitness”. I performed Hip Hop with the Cleveland Ballet under the direction of Dennis Nahat. Through studying Jazz dance with Dee Hillier I was exposed to hip hop, jazz, tap and ballet classes in NYC at Broadway Dance Center as well as performance opportunities at the “Cleveland Lighting of the Square” during the holiday season. I also spent many years teaching at several dance studios in the Cleveland area until 2013, when I decided to focus on fitness. My classes incorporate my life of movement incorporating Dance, Pilates and Yoga, to name a few.

At the Hayes Movement we offer you a total body workout that you design! So design your workout and get started.
